What is Nekochii?

Nekochii is the name of our little kitten at the top of the screen :'3 It is also a shop for cute, original, handmade goodies. These include our unique cosplay cat ears, adorable plushies and charms.
Who are we?

Nekochii is run in Australia by a couple of idle youngsters by the names of Jen and Kit. Outside the realms of work and study, they enjoy chanelling their energies to create cute and unusual things to sell to the equally cute and unusual people. Jen and Kit are also found in anime conventions around Sydney, making catgirls and catboys out of anyone willing to put a pair of Nekochii nekomimi on!
What is nekomimi?

The Japanese "nekomimi" logically translates to "cat ears" in English. At Nekochii, we make cosplay cat ears (nekomimi) for the dress-ups, costumes, parties or as a general accessory :'3 The origin of the nekomimi stems from the frequent appearance and positive reception of cat-people in various anime and manga series, coupled with the popularity of cosplay (costume play).
The item/colour is out of stock, what happens now?

We usually make to order anyway, so if you don't mind a little extra wait (1-2 weeks), you can still order the items you like! Don't forget to get in with your order early to avoid missing a convention or someone's birthday etc. ^-^
Do you take special requests?

Special requests like fabric choice, colour choice and some alterations/modifications can be made with us. Let us know about it, and we will discuss the possibilities with you. Of course not all special requests can be accepted, but we will do our very best and consult with you often as the custom items are developed >:'3
Where can you send my order and how much will it cost?

We will ship your order to almost anywhere internationally, and usually by air mail (that's some ship!). Express courier is also available upon request.

When you make your order, we'll send back a confirmation email listing the items you ordered and the total cost of the order. The shipping and packaging costs will be added to the final price of the ordered items. It is recommended that you have a good read of our Ordering and Shipping Information page, so you have a clear idea of the shipping options available and the rough cost before you make the order.
Do you insure shipping?

If you tell us that you want the shipping to be insured, we can arrange that for you. However, if you decide to opt for the standard shipping method (International Air Mail), it is not automatically insured, there is no tracking or confirmation numbers, and we cannot guarantee the status of the items/package once it leaves for delivery. Why aren't there many international delivery options?

Australia Post, our postal service, has a limited choice of international delivery options that would be economical for for the majority of our customers. The cheapest delivery method is Standard Air Mail, which is what we use by default. We offer Express Courier International, however it is quite expensive, and is recommended only for large quantity orders, urgent deliveries or when secure delivery is of high importance. How long before I get my [ insert cute item here ]?

We start shipping your order as soon as we recieve your payment. By air mail that usually takes 3-10 business days internationally (or 3-5 business days within Australia). If we are out of stock or (in most cases) the item is made to order, it may take an extra 1-2 weeks. So if you're aiming for a convention, birthday or secret gift to your girlfriend/boyfriend, it is advised that you make your order far in advance. So remember, if you have a deadline to meet, please make your order far in advance and inform us of the deadline.
Aren't your products just a little too pricey?

We admit that our items are not cheap, however there is a lot of creativity and dedication in not only producing the items, but to also imagine and design them in the first place. Everything is also handmade, so overall you will certainly get what you pay for - quality, fun and happiness in our items.
Pet free and smoke free environment? What's so important?

Some people may be allergic to pet hairs or tobacco/cigarette smoke, so our products are made in an environment that is pet and smoke free. Jen and Kit are also non-smokers that are unfortunate enough not to own their own baby kittens.
What are your payment methods?

If you are ordering from outside Australia, we only accept payment through Paypal. Customers ordering within Australia may also pay by money order (please specify your preferred method when ordering).
